Audio Visual Install York

Definition Audio Visual has successfully completed a comprehensive audio visual install at Wheldrake Village Hall York, providing the community venue with a modern audio and projection system designed to support presentations, film screenings, live performances, and community events.

Main Hall Sound System

The main hall now benefits from a powerful and balanced audio system built around four Samson Technologies 10-inch speakers. These speakers were strategically installed in each corner of the hall on Powerdrive wall brackets, ensuring even sound distribution across the entire space.

The speaker system is powered by a QSC stereo amplifier, which is securely housed inside a wall-mounted rack cabinet located in the hall’s storeroom.

Simple and Flexible Audio Control

To make the system easy for hall users to operate, we installed several intuitive control and connectivity features:

• Audio-Technica handheld wireless radio microphone system for speeches and presentations

• Cloud Electronics single-zone mixer for managing audio sources

• Cloud RSL6 installed on the wall for convenient volume and source selection

This configuration allows users to easily switch between music sources, projector audio, and local line inputs, making the system suitable for a wide range of events.

Projection System

To complement the upgraded sound system, we installed a high-performance projection solution featuring a BenQ 4200-lumen projector. The projector is mounted securely on a Peerless ceiling mount bracket, delivering bright and clear images onto a 100-inch motorised projection screen.

For flexible connectivity, the hall includes:

• HDMI connection for modern laptops and devices

• VGA input for legacy equipment

• Audio input for external sources

Additionally, an LG Electronics Blu-ray DVD player was installed within the rack cabinet to provide a reliable source for high-definition video playback.

A Versatile AV System for the Community

This installation provides Wheldrake Village Hall with a professional, easy-to-use audio visual system that enhances the venue’s ability to host community events, presentations, performances, and film nights.

The upgraded AV system ensures clear sound, bright visuals, and flexible connectivity, helping the hall support a wider range of activities and deliver an improved experience for all users.

As part of the AV upgrade at Wheldrake Village Hall, the bar area located adjacent to the main hall was also equipped with an improved audio system to enhance the atmosphere for visitors and event guests.

Two Apart Audio Mask 6 speakers in black were installed above the bar area, providing clear and balanced sound coverage throughout the space. Their elevated positioning ensures even audio distribution while maintaining a discreet and professional appearance.

The speakers are powered by a compact stereo amplifier installed behind the bar, keeping the equipment hidden while remaining easily accessible for staff if required.

For simple music playback, we installed a local iPod connection plate, allowing users to quickly connect a mobile device or music player and play their preferred music through the bar’s sound system.

This addition complements the main hall AV installation, creating a pleasant and lively audio environment within the bar area and enhancing the overall experience for visitors attending events at the venue.
