Audio Visual Installations York
At Clifton Explore, the central communications room houses the core equipment that powers and manages the entire building’s audio system. This centralized rack installation ensures reliable performance and allows staff to easily manage audio across all zones within the facility.
At the heart of the system is a Cloud Z8, which provides full control over the building’s multi-zone audio distribution. This mixer enables independent source selection and level adjustment for each area, allowing different audio content to be played throughout the venue simultaneously.
The Optimal Audio sound system in the main hall is powered by two Crown stereo amplifiers, delivering clean and reliable power to the speakers and subwoofers installed in that space. To optimise the audio performance, we also installed a dbx two-way crossover, ensuring the correct frequency distribution between the main speakers and subwoofers.
For all the other zones within the building—including activity rooms, café areas, and the children’s library—we installed two Cloud VA4120 units. These amplifiers power the Cloud ceiling speaker systems installed throughout the different spaces.
This centralised audio infrastructure provides precise control, flexibility, and efficient management of the sound system across the entire building, ensuring each area can operate independently while maintaining consistent and high-quality audio performance.
