Audio Visual Installations York
We recently completed a comprehensive audio visual installation in York at Acomb Library, delivering a modern AV solution designed to support presentations, community events, and meetings within the library’s flexible spaces.
The project involved upgrading the main presentation room along with two meeting rooms, providing high-quality projection, professional audio systems, and integrated video conferencing solutions.
Main Room Projection System
The main room now features a professional projection setup designed for large audiences and clear visual presentations.
The installation includes:
- Sapphire 3-metre motorised projection screen mounted on long wall arm brackets
- Epson EB-6200 short throw projector installed on a B-Tech AV Mounts ceiling mount bracket
This combination delivers bright, high-resolution images suitable for presentations, films, and community events.
To allow simple connectivity for presenters, we installed:
- A local HDMI input plate at the front of the room
- A Bluestream HDMI transmitter plate at the rear of the library
These connect to a Bluestream receiver located near the projector, enabling seamless laptop connections from multiple points within the room.
Professional Sound System Installation
To complement the projection system, we installed a high-quality commercial sound system designed to provide clear and balanced audio throughout the space.
The audio system includes:
- 4 × Optimal Audio Cuboid 8 speakers
- 2 × Optimal Audio Sub 10 bass speakers
The system is powered and controlled by professional audio equipment including:
- Cloud Electronics Z4 mixer/zoner
- Crown and Cloud amplifiers
- Cloud LM2 input plates
- Cloud BT2 Bluetooth connection plate
Connection points are installed at both the front and rear of the room, providing flexible options for microphones, laptops, or other audio sources.
Meeting Room AV Systems
Large Meeting Room
The larger meeting room has been equipped with a modern video conferencing and presentation system, including:
- Samsung 75″ Display
- Biamp VBC2500 – video conferencing soundbar
- 4 × Cloud CSC6 ceiling speakers
- Cloud LM2 connection plate
- Cloud BT2 Bluetooth connection plate
This setup allows users to run presentations, hybrid meetings, and video calls with excellent sound clarity.
Small Meeting Room
The smaller meeting room also benefits from a dedicated AV setup designed for video conferencing and presentations:
- Samsung 75″ display screen
- Bose Videobar VB1 – video conferencing sound bar
This integrated soundbar provides built-in microphones, speakers, and a camera, allowing easy connection to platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

To further enhance accessibility within the library, we also installed an advanced hearing assistance system using the Ampetronic Auri from Ampetronic. This Auracast™ Bluetooth hearing system allows visitors with compatible hearing aids or headphones to connect directly to the venue’s audio system.
The installation includes four dedicated receivers, enabling users with hearing impairments to easily access the audio feed from presentations, meetings, or events taking place within the space. This solution significantly improves audio accessibility, ensuring that everyone can clearly hear spoken content regardless of where they are seated in the room.
