AV Installation Selby

We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our latest AV installation project at Osgodby Village Hall near Selby. The hall required a complete upgrade, as its previous system was no longer operational and lacked the capability to support presentations, community events, and film nights.

Our team designed and installed a modern, user-friendly audio-visual system tailored to the needs of the local community.

Projection System Installation

The new visual setup includes:

• A 125” motorised projection screen, discreetly mounted behind the stage fascia
• A high-brightness BenQ 5000 lumen projector, delivering sharp and vibrant Full HD images

The system allows seamless playback from both a laptop and a Panasonic DVD player, all centrally housed within a secure rack cabinet for ease of use and protection.

Sound System Installation

To ensure clear, consistent audio throughout the hall, we installed:

• Four Apart Audio MASK8 speakers in white
  • Two positioned either side of the screen
  • Two located further down the hall for even coverage

This setup delivers excellent speech clarity and full-range sound, ideal for everything from presentations to film screenings and live events.

Control & Equipment

The system is powered and controlled via a wall-mounted equipment rack, housing:

• A Cloud mixer zoner for flexible audio routing
• A QSC amplifier for reliable amplification
• An Apart Audio CD player for additional playback options
• An Audio-Technica handheld radio microphone system for speeches and events

For simple day-to-day operation, we also installed:

• Two input plates for easy connectivity
• A Cloud RSL6 wall control plate

Accessibility

A hearing loop system was also integrated, ensuring the space is inclusive and accessible for all users.

This installation has transformed Osgodby Village Hall into a modern, versatile, and easy-to-use community venue, now fully equipped to host:

In addition to the audio-visual system, we installed a new hearing loop system to ensure full accessibility throughout the venue.

The system features a perimeter loop design, driven by an Ampetronic hearing loop amplifier, providing consistent signal coverage across the entire hall.

This allows hearing aid users to switch to the “T” (telecoil) setting and receive clear, interference-free audio directly from the sound system. The result is significantly improved speech intelligibility for presentations, events, and film screenings.

This addition ensures the village hall is an inclusive space, enabling all visitors to fully participate regardless of hearing ability.
