Definition Audio Visual has successfully completed a professional outdoor and indoor sound system installation at Lake Y in Doncaster, providing a complete commercial audio solution across the venue.

Outdoor Sound System Installation

A key part of the project was providing reliable audio coverage across the outdoor areas, including the Padel courts, café seating area and reception building.

Padel Court Audio

Four Biamp Mask 6 speakers were installed at high level on the steel girders surrounding the Padel courts.

The speakers provide wide and even sound coverage across the courts, allowing music and announcements to be clearly heard by players and spectators.

Positioning the speakers at high level also helps maintain a clean installation while providing effective coverage over the outdoor playing areas.

Outdoor Café and Seating Area

Two additional Biamp Mask 6 outdoor speakers were installed to provide audio coverage across the café seating area.

The speakers were carefully positioned towards the seating area to provide consistent background music without creating unnecessary sound spill into surrounding areas.

Reception Building Exterior

A further two Biamp Mask 6 speakers were installed externally around the reception building.

These speakers provide audio coverage for outdoor gathering areas and entrances, helping create a consistent sound environment across the venue.

Indoor Café Sound System

Inside the café, we installed a pair of Biamp Mask 4CT speakers in white.

The compact speakers provide clear, detailed audio that is well suited to the café environment while maintaining a discreet appearance.

A Cloud RSL6 local volume control was also installed, allowing staff to adjust the café audio level quickly and easily during normal operation or events.

Centralised Commercial Audio Equipment

The main audio equipment is housed within a dedicated equipment cabinet located in the reception area.

The system includes:

• Cloud Z4 Mixer / Zoner – providing multi-zone audio control and source selection
• Three Cloud VA2120 2-channel amplifiers – providing amplification for the different speaker zones
• Cloud PM4 Paging Microphone – allowing staff to make clear announcements throughout the venue

Centralising the equipment provides a reliable and organised solution while making it easier for staff to manage the different audio areas from one location.

Multi-Zone Audio System for Lake Y

The completed system provides Lake Y with flexible control over multiple audio zones.

This allows different areas of the venue to be operated independently, making the system suitable for everyday background music as well as larger events and social gatherings.
