Projector Installation Scunthorpe

Definition Audio Visual recently completed a commercial projector installation for a training room in Scunthorpe, providing a flexible and easy-to-use presentation system designed for meetings, training sessions, and collaborative learning.

High-Brightness Projection System

At the centre of the installation is a BenQ 4000-lumen Full HD projector, securely mounted to the ceiling using a B-Tech AV Mounts projector bracket. The high brightness output ensures clear and vibrant images, even in well-lit environments often found in training and meeting spaces.

The projector displays onto a 100-inch motorised projection screen from Elite Screens, which is neatly installed within the ceiling. The motorised mechanism allows the screen to be easily deployed when needed and retracted to maintain a clean and uncluttered room layout.

Dual Display Solution

To add further versatility to the room, the system integrates an existing Samsung 65-inch TV display, mounted on the wall behind the projector screen. This gives users the option of presenting on either the large projection screen or the TV display depending on the size of the audience and the type of content being shown.

Signal Distribution System

To distribute video signals to both displays, we installed a professional signal management solution from Kramer Electronics, including:

• 1-in-2-out VGA distribution amplifier

• 1-in-2-out HDMI distribution amplifier

Both units were installed above the suspended ceiling, ensuring reliable signal transmission to the projector and TV while keeping the equipment discreetly hidden.

Simple Connectivity for Users

Ease of use was a key part of the system design. All connection points were consolidated into a single plug-in location within the existing dado trunking, allowing users to quickly connect their laptops or devices without complicated setup.

This streamlined connection point enables presenters to operate both the projector and TV simultaneously, providing a smooth and efficient presentation experience.

The newly installed audio-visual system in the training room in Scunthorpe has been designed to offer flexible display options, allowing trainers to adapt the setup depending on the size of the group and the type of session being delivered.

For larger training sessions and presentations, the system can operate using the high-brightness BenQ projector and the 100-inch motorised projection screen from Elite Screens. This configuration provides a large and highly visible display, ensuring that all participants in the room can clearly see presentations, videos, and training materials.

For smaller classes or focused group discussions, the system can alternatively operate using the Samsung 65-inch TV display. This setup provides a more compact and direct viewing option, which can be ideal for smaller audiences where a full projection screen may not be necessary.

This dual-display approach allows trainers to easily switch between the projector and the TV, providing the flexibility to tailor the presentation environment to suit different training formats.
