We are pleased to announce the successful completion of another professional sound system installation near York, carried out at a beautiful newly constructed wedding venue in Cundall. This impressive converted barn, set on a picturesque farm, now features a high-quality commercial audio system designed to enhance weddings, celebrations, and live events.

The project required a carefully planned wedding venue sound system capable of delivering excellent audio clarity and reliable performance within the unique acoustics of a large barn conversion.

The main hall is now equipped with a powerful speaker system designed to provide consistent sound coverage across the entire venue.

The installation includes:

• 4 × Martin Audio X10 speakers
• Suspended from the existing steel girders on either side of the barn

These speakers were selected for their high audio fidelity and wide dispersion, ensuring music and speech remain clear and evenly distributed throughout the space.

To reinforce the low frequencies and create a full-range sound experience, we installed:

• 2 × Electro-Voice 15″ bass speakers positioned centrally on the floor

This combination provides a powerful yet balanced sound system suitable for wedding speeches, background music, DJs, and live entertainment.

Central Audio Equipment Rack

All system components are housed within a floor-standing equipment cabinet, providing reliable control and easy operation for venue staff.

The system includes:

• Cloud CX163 for audio source and level control
• Audio-Technica handheld radio microphone system
• Martin Audio DX5 crossover for precise frequency management
• Two Crown Audio stereo amplifiers – one powering the main speakers and another dedicated to the bass speakers
• Denon rackmount Bluetooth receiver for wireless music streaming
• Denon media player supporting CD, USB, and SD card playback

This equipment configuration ensures the venue has flexible music playback options and reliable system performance for a wide variety of events.

Live Band and DJ Connectivity

To accommodate visiting performers and entertainers, we installed XLR audio input connections, allowing bands and DJs to easily connect their own mixing equipment to the venue’s sound system.

Sound Level Protection

The ceremony room utilises a professional 100-volt line speaker system, providing even audio coverage across the entire space. The installation features six Apart Audio Mask 6 speakers, mounted at high level around the room. Each speaker is tapped at 30 watts, ensuring balanced sound distribution and excellent speech clarity for ceremonies, readings, and music playback.

The system is powered by a Cloud Electronics 100-volt line mixer amplifier, providing simple and reliable control of audio levels and sources.

All system equipment is securely housed within a durable Penn Fabrications 8U metal rack cabinet, creating a tidy and protected installation.
