State-of-the-Art Audio-Visual Installation Enhances Dental Training in Wakefield

We are proud to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive audio-visual AV installation at a leading dental training school in Wakefield. This project significantly enhances the school’s teaching and training capabilities, providing cutting-edge AV technology for lectures, demonstrations, and interactive learning.

Main Lecture Theatre: Clear Visuals and Exceptional Audio

In the main lecture theatre, we installed a high-definition Epson EB1985WU projector, delivering 4800 ANSI lumens for bright, vibrant visuals even in well-lit environments. To complement the visuals, we installed a professional audio system including:

• Apart Audio 100-volt line mixer amplifier
• Audio-Technica handheld radio microphone
• Four Apart Audio 100-volt line ceiling speakers

This combination ensures even sound distribution throughout the lecture theatre, providing students with a clear and immersive learning experience.

Dental Room: Real-Time Communication and Demonstration

Downstairs, in the dedicated dental room, we implemented a two-way communication system for seamless interaction with the lecture theatre. Key components include:

• Audio-Technica overhead boundary microphone for clear audio capture
• Apart Audio mixer amplifier and 20-watt ceiling speaker
• Overhead HD camera for detailed visual demonstrations

Using a Kramer HDMI over CAT6 sender and receiver system, the dental room video is transmitted in real-time to the main lecture theatre projector, allowing students to observe procedures and participate in discussions remotely.

Upstairs Training Room: Flexible and Engaging Learning

The training room audio-visual upgrade included:

• Apart Audio mixer amplifier
• Audio-Technica headset radio microphone
• Four Apart Audio 20-watt ceiling speakers
• Two HDMI input connections for dental room camera and laptops
• HDMI switcher and HDMI-to-VGA converter for device compatibility

An HDMI distribution system ensures all student computer monitors receive video signals, enabling focused, interactive learning on individual screens.

Dental Training Room Audio-Visual Upgrade

In the adjacent dental training room, we implemented a comprehensive audio-visual (AV) upgrade to enhance the learning environment and create a more immersive educational experience.

High-Definition Visuals

At the core of the upgrade is an Epson projector delivering 4800 ANSI lumens and Full HD resolution, mounted securely using a B-Tech ceiling projector bracket. This setup provides bright, sharp visuals, ideal for detailed training sessions, demonstrations, and interactive lessons.

Seamless Connectivity

To ensure smooth operation, we installed a VGA and HDMI connection plate near the lectern, enabling instructors to easily connect laptops and other devices. This allows for quick playback of training videos, presentations, and multimedia content, improving the overall teaching experience.

Integrated Audio Solution

The room’s audio system was upgraded by integrating the projector’s audio output into the existing in-house ceiling speaker system. This ensures that sound from presentations and videos is distributed evenly and clearly, creating an engaging and effective learning environment for all students.
