AV Installation Worksop

We recently completed a comprehensive AV installation in Worksop, South Yorkshire, for a newly opened fitness facility. The project delivered a high-performance gym sound system and commercial display network, creating a motivating and engaging environment for members across multiple workout spaces.

The installation combines a professional multi-zone audio system from Cloud Electronics with a network of Samsung 55″ commercial display screens, ensuring both excellent sound coverage and high-quality visual content throughout the gym.

Multi-Zone Gym Sound System Installation

The main gym floor is equipped with twelve Cloud CSC8 ceiling speakers. These 8-inch, 75-watt speakers were strategically installed to provide even sound distribution and clear, powerful audio across the entire workout area.

Additional audio zones were created throughout the facility to ensure tailored sound coverage in different workout spaces:

• Dance Studio – Six Cloud CSC8 ceiling speakers

• Spin Studio – Two Cloud CSC8 ceiling speakers

• Golf Simulation Room – Two Cloud CSC8 ceiling speakers

This multi-zone configuration allows different areas of the gym to operate independently with their own audio sources and volume levels.

Bluetooth Music Control for Fitness Classes

To allow instructors to easily play their own music during sessions, we installed Cloud BT-1 Bluetooth wall plates within key training spaces.

Bluetooth audio inputs were installed in:

• The dance studio

• The spin room

• The main gym floor

Each training area also features Cloud RSL6 volume control plates, allowing instructors to quickly adjust music levels during classes without accessing the central equipment rack.

Centralised Paging and Audio Control

To give staff full control over the building’s audio system, a Cloud RSL6 control plate was installed in the main office alongside a Cloud PM4.

This allows staff to:

• Make announcements across selected zones

• Adjust audio levels remotely

• Manage music sources from a central location

This feature is particularly useful for class announcements, safety messages, and general gym communications.

Professional AV Equipment Rack

The core of the system is housed within a dedicated equipment cabinet located in the upstairs office. The rack contains several key components that power and manage the entire AV system:

• Cloud Z4 for multi-zone audio routing

• **Denon media player for music playback

• **Audio-Technica Pro 10 dual wireless headset microphone system for instructors

• Five **Crown Audio stereo amplifiers powering the speaker system

This professional configuration ensures reliable performance, excellent sound clarity, and the flexibility required for a busy fitness environment.

Commercial TV Display Installation

Alongside the audio system, we installed seven 55″ Samsung commercial TV screens throughout the gym. These screens provide visual content for members during workouts, including:

• Fitness channels

• Entertainment programming

• Workout guidance

• Promotional content

Commercial displays were selected for their high brightness, reliability, and suitability for continuous operation in gym environments.

A Modern Fitness AV Solution

Dance Studio Display Screens

Within the dance studio, we installed two Samsung 55″ commercial TV screens, securely mounted on adjustable wall arm brackets to provide the best possible viewing angles during classes.

These screens are fully integrated with the gym’s Myzone fitness monitoring system. This allows instructors and participants to view real-time performance data during sessions, helping to motivate users and create a more interactive training environment.

Main Gym Area Screens

In the main gym area, five additional Samsung 55″ commercial display screens were installed, also mounted on heavy-duty wall arm brackets to ensure safe positioning and optimal visibility across the workout floor.

These screens provide a flexible content solution and are capable of displaying:

• Freeview TV channels

• Digital advertising and promotional content

• Real-time data from the MyZone fitness system

This combination of fitness tracking visuals, entertainment, and promotional displays helps create a dynamic and engaging environment for gym members while also giving the facility opportunities to promote classes, offers, and announcements.
