State-of-the-Art Audio Visual Installation Enhances Dental Training in Wakefield

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive audio visual installation at a dental training school in Wakefield. This project significantly enhances the school’s training capabilities by providing cutting-edge technology for lectures, demonstrations, and interactive learning.

The core of the installation focused on creating seamless communication and visual clarity between the main lecture theatre and the downstairs dental room. In the main lecture theatre, we installed a high-definition Epson EB1985WU projector, renowned for its exceptional brightness at 4800 ANSI lumens, ensuring clear and vibrant visuals even in well-lit environments. Audio clarity was achieved with an Apart Audio 100-volt line mixer amplifier, an Audio Technica handheld radio microphone, and four strategically placed Apart Audio 100-volt line ceiling speakers, providing even sound distribution throughout the space.

Downstairs, in the dedicated dental room, we established a dedicated two-way communication system. This included an Audio Technica overhead boundary microphone capturing crystal-clear audio from the dental workspace, connected to an Apart Audio mixer amplifier and a single, powerful Apart Audio 20-watt ceiling speaker. An overhead HD camera was also installed, allowing for detailed visual demonstrations.

To facilitate real-time viewing of the dental room proceedings in the main lecture theatre, we implemented a Kramer HDMI over CAT 6 sender and receiver system. This robust solution transmits high-quality video signals seamlessly to the Epson overhead projector, allowing students in the lecture theatre to observe procedures and engage in discussions without being physically present in the dental room.

Finally, the upgrade extended to the upstairs training room. Enhancing the audio experience, we installed an Apart Audio mixer amplifier, an Audio Technica headset radio microphone, and four Apart Audio 20-watt ceiling speakers. Recognizing the need for versatile connectivity, we integrated two HDMI input connections – one from the dental room camera and another for laptop integration. This is coupled with an HDMI switcher and an HDMI to VGA converter, ensuring compatibility with a variety of devices.

A key component of this training room upgrade is the HDMI distribution system, which sends signals to all computer monitors. This allows students to easily view images and demonstrations on their individual screens, creating a more focused and engaging learning environment.

This comprehensive audio visual installation provides the dental training school in Wakefield with a modern and effective platform for delivering high-quality education and practical training, ultimately preparing students for success in their future careers.

In the adjacent dental training room, a comprehensive audio-visual upgrade was implemented to enhance the learning environment. At the core of this upgrade is an Epson projector, boasting 4800 ANSI lumens and Full HD resolution. This projector, securely mounted using a Btech ceiling mount projector bracket, delivers bright, clear visuals ideal for detailed training sessions.

To facilitate seamless connectivity, a VGA and HDMI connection plate was strategically installed near the lectern. This allows instructors to easily connect laptops and project training videos, presentations, and other multimedia content for their students.

The audio component of the system was also upgraded, with the projector’s audio output integrated into the existing in-house ceiling speaker system. This ensures that audio from training videos and presentations is distributed evenly and clearly throughout the room, creating an immersive and effective learning experience for all students. This integrated solution provides a modern and user-friendly platform for dental training.
