Sound System Install Leeds

We recently completed a sound system install project in Leeds, designing and installing a comprehensive audio system for three newly refurbished meeting rooms. These rooms are designed for conducting interviews and meetings, featuring both participant and observation areas separated by one-way glass for discreet monitoring. Our mandate was to deliver a flexible and dependable audio solution that ensures clear communication and accurate recording of interview sessions.

To achieve this, we implemented a dual-microphone system in each meeting room. We strategically positioned Audio Technica Pro 45 overhead boundary microphones above the desks to capture clear audio during discussions. In addition, we included Audio Technica Pro 44 desktop boundary microphones as an alternative. This provides users with the flexibility to choose the most suitable microphone based on the room configuration, whether tables are in use or not.

The selection between the overhead and desktop microphones is easily managed via an Audio Technica DM604 microphone mixer, allowing for seamless switching and control. This ensures that the most appropriate microphone is always active, optimizing audio capture quality.

Within each observation room, we installed a pair of white Audio Technica Kubo 5T speakers, mounted at a high level to guarantee optimal audio distribution and exceptional clarity. Each speaker is paired with an Apart Audio in-line volume control, enabling users to adjust the sound level independently and without disrupting the interview in progress. This level of control ensures a comfortable and productive monitoring environment.

The entire sound system install for each meeting room is centrally managed from a dedicated comms room. Each room is equipped with an Audio Technica DM604 automatic microphone mixer alongside a TOA A2060 mixer amplifier. The DM604, requiring no user intervention, provides seamless control for an array of pre-programmed settings, streamlining the user experience and ensuring consistent audio performance across all three meeting rooms. This centralised management system allows for efficient monitoring and maintenance of the entire audio infrastructure.

Another part of this sound system install in Leeds was the comprehensive AV installation, a robust HDMI distribution system was implemented to facilitate seamless content sharing. A core requirement was the ability to display laptop content in both the participant and observation rooms.

To achieve this, Kramer HDMI cables were strategically installed beneath the floor, connecting to a 1-in-2-out HDMI splitter. This configuration enables simultaneous display on the large screen TV in the participant room and the observation room, a crucial feature for real-time monitoring of interview processes.

The Kramer HDMI cables ensure reliable, high-quality signal transmission, minimizing signal loss and maintaining optimal image clarity. The HDMI splitter efficiently distributes the signal, guaranteeing both displays receive identical content without degradation.

The result is a seamless and professional presentation experience, fostering a collaborative and informed environment. This HDMI distribution solution is an integral component of the overall AV system, designed to enhance functionality and streamline communication within the facility.
