Sound System Installation at Darfield Working Mens Club, Barnsley

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive sound system installation at Darfield Working Mens Club, located near Barnsley. This project was designed to enhance the audio experience for members and guests, providing clear and powerful sound throughout the venue.

The core of the system features a pair of JBL ZLX 12 speakers, strategically mounted on Powerdrive wall arm brackets on either side of the stage. These speakers are powered by a Crown LPS 1500 Professional Stereo Amplifier, ensuring robust and high-quality sound reproduction for live performances and events.

To provide consistent audio coverage across the seating areas and near the bar, we installed eight JBL ceiling speakers. These speakers are driven by two Phonic Stereo Amplifiers, delivering balanced and immersive sound throughout these zones.

The system’s control center is located in the control booth, where a Behringer Mixer has been installed. All sound equipment is neatly housed in a wall-mounted rack cabinet within the cupboard. This setup also includes two Audio-Technica handheld radio microphones, along with their existing Cloud 46/50 amplifier, seamlessly integrated into the new system.

To provide convenient control of the sound system, we installed three Cloud RSL 6 wall plates at strategic locations within the club. These wall plates allow users to adjust the volume remotely, ensuring optimal sound levels in different areas of the venue.

In addition to the sound system upgrades, we also addressed the club’s audio-visual needs. We re-used their existing projection screen and installed a new widescreen Mitsubishi 3500 lumens projector, providing bright and clear visuals for presentations and entertainment. A 32″ TV screen was also mounted on the wall to serve as a monitor for their existing Karaoke system.

To finalize the sound and lighting enhancement project, we strategically integrated several high-performance components onto the stage, designed to elevate the visual experience for both performers and audiences.

Specifically, we installed four Equinox Ultra Scan LED Scanners. These advanced scanners offer exceptional versatility, enabling dynamic and precise light movement, intricate patterns, and vibrant color washes. This feature ensures captivating visual effects that can be tailored to suit a variety of performance styles and musical genres.

Complementing the scanners, we also incorporated six Showtec LED Par cans. These LED Par cans provide a broad and even wash of color, effectively illuminating the artists on stage. Their energy-efficient design and long lifespan contribute to a sustainable and reliable lighting solution.

The combination of Equinox Ultra Scan LED Scanners and Showtec LED Par cans delivers a comprehensive lighting system capable of creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for live performances. This upgrade provides the venue with the tools necessary to enhance the visual impact of every show.
