Audio Visual Installation Upgrade for Salvation Army, Mirfield

We recently completed a comprehensive audio visual installation upgrade at the Salvation Army’s hall in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. The existing system was showing its age and required a modern overhaul to better serve the needs of the congregation. Our team designed and installed a solution that delivers enhanced audio clarity, flexible control, and impactful visual displays.

The heart of the new sound system in the main hall comprises four Martin Audio X15 speakers. These high-performance speakers were strategically suspended from the existing wooden beams, optimizing sound dispersion throughout the space. A Crown XLI3500 stereo amplifier, housed within a dedicated rack cabinet, provides ample power and ensures pristine audio reproduction.

To provide comprehensive control over the audio inputs, we installed a Yamaha 24-channel PA mixer at the rear of the hall. This allows the band to manage all 24 channels of microphone and line-level inputs via their existing multi-core stage box, offering precise sound mixing capabilities.

For music playback, the system includes an Apart Audio single CD player with USB functionality, allowing the Salvation Army to easily play music from CDs, USB drives, or external devices like laptops and computers.

To further enhance their audio capabilities, we integrated two Audio Technica radio microphones: a handheld system for vocal performances and a headset system for hands-free presentations.

Understanding the importance of accessibility, we also upgraded the hearing loop system. While a flat copper tape system was already in place, we installed a new Ampetronic hearing loop amplifier to provide a clearer and more reliable listening experience for individuals with hearing impairments.

The visual component of the upgrade features two impressive LG 65″ large format 4K TV screens. These were mounted on heavy-duty wall arm brackets, strategically angled towards the congregation for optimal viewing from all areas of the hall.

To ensure a reliable and high-quality visual signal over the required distance, we implemented a Kramer HDMI over CAT6 system. This includes a 1-in-3-out HDMI distribution unit connected to three HDMI transmitters using Kramer’s DGKAT cabling. HDMI receivers were then installed behind each TV, guaranteeing a clear and crisp 4K picture.

This audio visual installation provides the Salvation Army in Mirfield with a modern, versatile, and user-friendly system that will enhance their services and events for years to come.

AV Install Services Mirfield

We recently completed an audio-visual upgrade in the client’s prayer room, located adjacent to their main hall. The goal was to provide a seamless and technologically advanced experience for those using the space, integrating it with the existing main hall AV system.

A key component of the upgrade was the installation of an LG 43” 4K resolution TV. This display is directly connected to the main hall AV system, allowing for content sharing and enhanced viewing. We also included a local HDMI input for easy laptop connection, empowering users to present their own materials.

To ensure crystal-clear audio, we installed a Cloud Electronics MA60 amplifier concealed above the ceiling. This amplifier powers two high-quality Apart Audio ceiling speakers, distributing sound evenly throughout the room.

Finally, we implemented an RSL6 remote level and source selection plate. This intuitive control interface allows users to easily adjust the volume and select the desired audio source, providing a user-friendly and accessible experience for all. This discreet yet powerful system provides a high-quality audio-visual experience within the prayer room, seamlessly connecting it to the wider facility.
