Audio Visual Installation Mirfield

We recently completed a full audio visual installation upgrade in Mirfield, West Yorkshire for The Salvation Army hall in Mirfield.

The existing AV system had become outdated and no longer met the needs of the congregation. Our brief was to design and install a modern, reliable solution delivering improved sound clarity, flexible control, and high-impact visuals — while maintaining accessibility throughout the space.

Main Hall Sound System Installation

At the core of the upgrade is a powerful new PA system featuring:

• 4 x Martin Audio X15 loudspeakers

• 1 x Crown Audio XLi3500 stereo amplifier

The Martin Audio X15 speakers were strategically suspended from the existing wooden beams to optimise sound dispersion and ensure even coverage across the hall. The Crown amplifier, housed in a dedicated rack cabinet, provides clean and reliable power delivery.

Professional Mixing & Input Control

To give the worship band full control, we installed a 24-channel PA mixer from Yamaha at the rear of the hall.

This allows management of:

• 24 microphone and line-level inputs

• The existing multi-core stage box

• Live band performances

• Spoken word and presentations

The result is precise sound mixing with excellent vocal clarity and musical balance.

Music Playback & Wireless Microphones

For music playback, we supplied an Apart Audio CD player with USB functionality, enabling playback from:

• CDs

• USB drives

• Laptops and external devices

We also integrated two Audio-Technica wireless microphone systems:

• Handheld radio mic for vocals

• Headset microphone for hands-free speaking

Hearing Loop System Upgrade

Accessibility was a key part of the project.

The hall already had a flat copper tape hearing loop installed, but the amplifier required upgrading. We installed a new amplifier from Ampetronic, providing a clearer and more reliable signal for hearing aid users.

Large Format 4K Display Installation

To enhance visual communication, we installed:

• 2 x LG 65″ 4K large-format displays

Both screens were mounted on heavy-duty wall arm brackets and angled towards the congregation for optimal visibility from all seating areas.

For signal distribution, we implemented a Kramer Electronics HDMI over CAT6 system, including:

• 1-in / 3-out HDMI distribution unit

• HDMI transmitters using Kramer DGKAT cabling

• HDMI receivers installed behind each display

This ensures reliable long-distance 4K signal transmission with crisp image quality.

AV Install Services Mirfield – Prayer Room Upgrade

In addition to the main hall, we completed a dedicated AV installation within the adjacent prayer room, fully integrating it with the main hall system.

Visual Display

• 1 x LG 43″ 4K TV

• Direct connection to the main hall AV system

• Local HDMI input for laptop presentations

This allows content sharing between rooms and flexible use of the space.

Prayer Room Sound System

To deliver clear, evenly distributed sound, we installed:

• Cloud Electronics MA60 amplifier (concealed above ceiling)

• 2 x Apart Audio ceiling speakers

• Cloud RSL6 remote level and source selection plate

The RSL6 control panel provides intuitive volume and source selection, ensuring simple operation for users of all technical abilities.
